Terms of Service

Last updated September 25, 2026

These terms cover your use of Ribbit (“the service”, “we”, “us”): creating forms by describing them in chat or editing them directly, publishing them at a public link, and collecting responses. By creating an account or publishing a form, you agree to these terms.

Your account

You sign in with a link sent to your email address. Keep access to that inbox secure: anyone who can read it can sign in as you. You’re responsible for what happens in your account, and you must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.

Your forms and responses

You own the forms you create and the responses they collect. You give us permission to store, process and display them only as needed to run the service for you, for example to show your form to respondents and your responses to you.

You’re responsible for what your forms ask and for collecting responses lawfully. That includes telling respondents who you are and how you’ll use their answers, and having a legal basis to collect them.

Acceptable use

Don’t use the service to:

  • collect passwords, payment card numbers or login details, or impersonate another person or organization;
  • send spam, or distribute malware or links to it;
  • harass people, or collect information about them without a lawful reason;
  • break the law, or help someone else break it;
  • overload, probe or work around the limits of the service, including by scripting AI generation.

We may take down forms or suspend accounts that break these rules.

AI generation

Forms and changes you describe in chat are drafted by an AI model. Drafts can be wrong or incomplete, so review your form before you publish it. What you type in chat and the form you’re working on are sent to our AI provider to produce the draft, as described in our Privacy Policy.

AI form creation is unlimited. To prevent abuse, Free accounts have a fair-use limit of 20 AI generations per day.

Fair use of responses and file storage

Forms and responses are unlimited on every plan, subject to fair use. Unlimited means we don’t count them or charge by volume for normal use of a form builder. It doesn’t cover use that puts an unreasonable load on the service or costs far more to run than a typical account.

  • Response volume. Examples of use beyond fair use are automated or scripted submissions, using a form as a bulk data-ingestion endpoint, or sustained volumes far above what comparable accounts receive.
  • File storage. File uploads aren’t available today. If we add them, stored files will be subject to fair use too, and we may set reasonable limits on total storage, individual file size and file types.

If an account goes beyond fair use, we’ll contact you first where we can, and work with you to reduce the load. If that doesn’t resolve it, we may rate-limit submissions to the affected forms, ask you to delete stored data, or suspend the forms involved.

Plans and billing

The Free plan costs nothing. The Pro plan costs $29 per month and removes the Ribbit badge, lets you send respondents to your own page after they submit, and adds a webhook for new responses.

Pro subscriptions are sold and billed by [Merchant of Record], a third-party reseller that acts as the merchant of record for your purchase. [Merchant of Record] handles payment, sales tax or VAT, invoices and refunds, and its own terms apply to the purchase. You can cancel at any time. Pro features stay on until the end of the period you’ve paid for.

Deleting forms and closing your account

When you delete a form, it disappears from your account and its public link stops working. We may keep the underlying data for a while afterwards. To have your account and its data permanently erased, email us at [contact email].

Availability and liability

We work to keep the service running and your data safe, but we provide it “as is”, without guarantees of uninterrupted availability. Export anything you can’t afford to lose; CSV export is available on every plan. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we’ll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Questions about these terms: [contact email].
