Questions people ask

What is upward feedback?

It’s feedback from the people a manager leads. The six statements cover the basics of good management: clear expectations, useful feedback, support, recognition and growth, plus whether people would recommend their manager.

Is it anonymous?

The form asks for the manager’s name, not the respondent’s, so answers aren’t tied to a name. In a team of two or three, a manager may still guess who wrote what, so share results only once enough people have answered.

Can I change the statements?

Yes. Use the template and it becomes a draft you can change completely: reword the statements, add your company’s leadership values, or switch the scale labels.

How do I run it for several managers?

Share one link with everyone. The first question asks which manager the feedback is for, so you can download the responses as a CSV and sort them by name.
