Why people look for Typeform alternatives

Mostly cost and limits. Typeform’s free plan allows 10 responses a month across all your forms. Basic is $39 a month, or $28 a month billed yearly, for 100 responses a month and one user, and it keeps Typeform’s branding. Removing the branding takes Plus at $79 a month, or $56 a month billed yearly; drop-off rates take Business at $129 a month, or $91 a month billed yearly; and your own domain is Enterprise only.

Ribbit Pro is $29 a month, or $240 a year ($20 a month), for unlimited responses under fair use, no badge, a subdomain of your own, drop-off analytics and you plus 3 teammates: over $420 a year less than Typeform Plus. Right now the first year is $150 with the early-bird price, applied automatically, then $240 a year. See pricing.

The 8 Typeform alternatives in detail

Each entry covers the free plan, the paid plan and what the tool does best, as of October 2026.

1. Ribbit

Ribbit is an edit-first form builder with Typeform’s one-question-per-screen format. Describe the form in one sentence, AI drafts the questions and picks answer types, and you edit everything by hand. Respondents see one question per screen, with a progress bar, on any phone or computer, and need no account.

  • Free plan: unlimited forms and responses under fair use; jump logic and up to 10 endings, with a Flow board that maps every path; 13 answer types plus statement screens and multi-question pages; 52 templates; an accent colour, four fonts and ten backgrounds; CSV export; 5 AI generations a day and 50 a month. Forms show a small “Made with Ribbit” badge.
  • Pro: $29 a month, or $240 a year ($20 a month). Your logo and name instead of the badge, or no badge; a subdomain of your own, like forms.yourcompany.com, with custom links; drop-off analytics per question and partial answers; designed ending pages and a redirect per ending; one signed webhook per form; you plus 3 teammates; no AI cap.
  • Against Typeform: Pro covers what Typeform splits across Plus (branding removal, $56 a month billed yearly) and Business (drop-off analytics, $91 a month billed yearly), for $20 a month billed yearly.
  • Safe edits: changes to a published form stay unpublished until you publish them, so respondents never see a half-finished edit.
  • Strongest at: going from a sentence to a form you finish by hand, with branching you can see on the Flow board, all on the free plan.

See jump logic in the NPS survey template, see how the AI form builder works, or read the full Typeform vs Ribbit comparison.

2. Youform

Youform shows one question at a time by default, and a multi-page block puts several questions on one screen.

  • Free plan: unlimited forms, questions and responses under fair use, for one user, with conditional logic, scores, multiple endings, file uploads up to 10 MB each and integrations such as Google Sheets and Zapier. Youform’s homepage says its AI form builder is free too.
  • Paid: Pro is $29 a month, or $240 a year ($20 a month), and adds branding removal, custom domains, Stripe payments, a redirect after submission and drop-off analytics, for up to 3 team members. Business is $89 a month, or $720 a year.
  • Strongest at: one question at a time, with unlimited free responses under fair use. See Youform alternatives.

3. Tally

Tally builds forms in an editor that works like a document. Forms are single-page or multi-page; it has no one-question-per-screen mode.

  • Free plan: unlimited forms and submissions under fair use, with conditional logic and calculations, file uploads up to 10 MB per file, Stripe payments, webhooks, integrations and Tally AI.
  • Paid: Pro is $29 a month, or $290 a year (about $24 a month), and adds branding removal, custom domains, partial submissions and drop-off analytics. Business is $89 a month, or $890 a year.
  • Strongest at: unlimited free submissions under fair use, in a document-style editor. See Ribbit vs Tally.

4. Fillout

Fillout (its parent company is now called Zite) builds forms from pages. Its own blog builds a one-question-at-a-time layout from multi-page forms, with one question per page.

  • Free plan: 1,000 responses a month, unlimited forms and seats, conditional logic, payments, file uploads up to 20 MB and an AI form builder. Free forms carry a Fillout badge.
  • Paid: Starter is $15 a month billed yearly ($180 a year) and keeps light branding; Pro, at $40 a month billed yearly ($480 a year), removes it.
  • Strongest at: 1,000 free responses a month, with payments and file uploads.

5. Jotform

Jotform offers both layouts: Jotform Cards asks one question per page, and the classic form shows every question on one page.

  • Free plan (Starter): 5 active forms, 100 submissions a month, 100 MB of uploads and 10 payments a month, with Jotform branding. Jotform says conditional logic and Cards come with every plan.
  • Paid: Bronze is $39 a month, or $408 a year billed yearly ($34 a month), and removes Jotform branding.
  • Strongest at: breadth, with payments and file uploads on every plan.

6. Paperform

Paperform makes designed, document-style forms, with an optional one-question-at-a-time Guided Mode alongside full-page and multi-page layouts.

  • Free plan: 30 submissions a month, unlimited forms, conditional logic, AI form creation, and payment and donation fields. Free forms carry a Paperform badge you can’t turn off.
  • Paid: Pro is $59 a month, or $49 a month billed yearly, and removes the badge; there’s a 7-day free trial.
  • Strongest at: designed forms that take payments through Stripe, PayPal or Square.

7. Formester

Formester’s own blog describes card-style forms that ask one question at a time.

  • Free plan: unlimited forms and responses, an AI form creator and payment collection. Conditional logic starts on the paid Personal plan.
  • Paid: Personal is $13 a month, or $12 a month billed yearly, and removes all branding.
  • Strongest at: card-style forms with unlimited free responses.

8. Google Forms

Google Forms is free with a Google account and is part of Google Workspace.

  • Free plan: there’s no separate Forms plan, and the Google pages we read state no form or response cap.
  • Logic: “Go to section based on answer”, for multiple choice and dropdown questions only. Forms use sections rather than one question per screen, and file-upload questions make respondents sign in to a Google account.
  • Strongest at: free, familiar and tied to Google Sheets and Drive.

Who should switch to Ribbit

Ribbit is the switch when Typeform’s plans charge you for things Ribbit includes:

  • You pay for Plus to remove Typeform’s branding. Ribbit Pro removes the badge, or puts your logo and name in its place, for $20 a month billed yearly instead of $56 on Plus.
  • Your forms get more than 10 responses a month. Ribbit’s free plan has unlimited responses under fair use, and Pro has no response tiers.
  • You build branching forms. Jump logic and up to 10 endings are free, with a Flow board that maps every path.
  • You’re a small team. Pro includes you plus 3 teammates, where four people on Typeform take Business at $91 a month billed yearly.
  • You want a draft, not a blank page. Describe the form in a sentence and edit the AI draft by hand, or start from one of 52 templates.

About this comparison

We read each vendor’s own pricing and feature pages on 23 October 2026 and used only what the pages state; we didn’t run tests or benchmarks. Typeform’s free-plan limit of 10 responses a month is from its help centre, checked on 25 October 2026, and a Typeform staff reply on its community forum (2 September 2024) says the same. Where a vendor’s pages disagree, as Typeform’s sources do on logic in its free plan, we say so. Ribbit is our product; its details come from the product itself. Ribbit’s other comparisons, for Tally and Youform, are written the same way.

Questions people ask

What is the best free Typeform alternative?

Ribbit: it keeps one question per screen and gives you unlimited forms and responses under fair use, jump logic, up to 10 endings and an AI first draft, all free. Youform and Tally also offer unlimited free responses under fair use, and Fillout’s free plan allows 1,000 a month.

Which Typeform alternatives have conditional logic and branching?

Ribbit, Youform, Tally, Fillout, Jotform and Paperform list conditional logic on their free plans, and Ribbit adds up to 10 endings and a Flow board that maps every path. Formester’s logic starts on its paid Personal plan, and Google Forms jumps to a section only from multiple choice and dropdown questions.

Are there cheaper alternatives to Typeform?

Yes. Ribbit Pro is $29 a month, or $20 a month billed yearly ($240 a year), against $79 a month, or $56 a month billed yearly, for Typeform Plus, the plan that removes Typeform’s branding: over $420 a year less, with unlimited responses under fair use. Every paid alternative on this page removes its branding for less than Typeform Plus.

Which Typeform alternatives show one question per screen?

Ribbit always does, and Youform does by default. Jotform (with Cards) and Paperform (with Guided Mode) offer it as an option, and Formester describes card-style forms. Tally and Google Forms build single-page or multi-page forms, and Fillout builds a one-question layout from multi-page forms.

Is Typeform free, and does it have a permanent free plan?

Typeform has a free plan, but it allows 10 responses a month across all your forms, according to Typeform’s help centre (opens in a new tab). As of October 2026, paid plans start with Basic at $39 a month, or $28 a month billed yearly, for 100 responses a month.

Can I import my Typeform forms into Ribbit?

There’s no importer, so rebuild each form from a one-sentence description: AI drafts the questions, then you edit the draft and add logic by hand. You can also start from one of 52 templates.
